How to recursively change ownership of a directory in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

Hi guys, today I would like to share with you how to recursively change the ownership of a directory in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Obviously this also works in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Debian 7 and others. Btw.
